LimeWire is one of the most famous and free java peer to peer file sharing software client that we know.Limewire supports Windows, Mac and Linux and thousands of people from around the globe share their files and download softwares, movies and especially songs over this P2P software. In the past Limewire has had strong criticism for it is generally allowed to share songs of recently released movies, and other paid softwares that are not be distributed as they are copyrighted.

There has always been a question whether Limewire is legal or not?The answer is pretty much straight forward.

Limewire comes in two forms , one the basic version and other the paid Lime Wire pro version which gives faster downloads and additional support.People get access to movies that are still running on the theaters and just released a week before in the theaters.Still worse is the story for the songs of the recently released movies. The very day the audio songs of a movie are released, you get them to download in these P2P clients which is never going to please the movie makers and the album producers.Limewire is just a file sharing P2P client. It is meant for file sharing between peer computers. If Limewire is illegal, so are the latest versions of yahoo messenger and GTalk as you can also transfer songs via them.

Lime wire is completely legal as it is just a file sharing P2P client, but all that we do with Limewire may not be termed legal.Downloading copyrighted material over Limewire for personal use is also illegal and you could be sued for doing that.Yes, The Owner of Digital point forums, Shawn Hogan was sued for downloading the Movie “Meet The Forkers” via a similar file sharing client. So, the next time you are downloading using LimeWire, you will definitely remember me, or at least my blog.I think i have made an impact here.

Download LimeWire

Generally a podcast client would be referred to a client software that downloads remote podcast from across the web.Another name that is popularly given to these podcast clients is Media aggregators. They actually have access to different files and are designed so as to download the files and/ or parts of the files like the audio / video to your destination.
There are already hundreds if programs that are designed to do this job of podcast client. With the potential it has, there are many more developers who are developing these things. There are so many podcast aggregators that are available for free. So, it is not actually a business oriented thing, but just a promotional and advertising venture as far as the creators of such clients are concerned.

Being a client software, the podcast clients run on the user computer and are always in touch with the sites that it has been told to monitor.Of course, that is our choice. We ask the podcast client to monitor the sites that we are interested in.The communication between the podcast client and the servers of the sites that are being monitored are through RSS ( Really Simple Syndication ) Feeds that are periodically downloaded by the podcast client. If anything new is added and the media is in the required category, the file/ audio / video are downloaded to the local server.

The biggest advantage of using a podcast client is that you don’t even need a web browser to read all those news and watch all those videos.Podcast clients have revolutionized the web once and for all.As a user, you just have to let the podcast client know what you want it to follow and you are done.Rest all is automated and you can read and view videos of your choice at your convenience. So why not download a podcast client and subscribe to the feeds that you like.
