The easiest way to get back your system to work, if it is not working like it did is to use the Windows XP &#8220;System Restore&#8221; functionality.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="display: inline;">Windows creates a backup of the system once in a span of two days or so and you can easily roll back your system to those days of the calendar, if you experience any problems with your current settings of your system.</p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The steps to follow is as follows:</span></em></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>START -&gt; ALL PROGRAMS -&gt; ACCESSORIES -&gt; SYSTEM TOOLS -&gt; SYSTEM RESTORE.</strong></span></p>
<p>Then you can just follow the dialog and restore your system easily.<br />
Optionally, you can also create a custom restore point so that, you can restore your system to this newly created backup point, if anything problem occurs in the future.</p>
<p>p.s: You can only use this trick if System Restore is already enabled in your system.Anyway, the default setting would have System restore enabled.</span></p>
