In the operating systems realm we should consider the elements that can affect our operability and productivity. Sometimes you haven’t administrative responsibilities in the company you work, but if you have at least a general knowledge about the advantages and disadvantages of the use of Linux and Windows, you could even take decisions related to what operating system use in the computer of your own house. I know there are more computers using Microsoft Windows than computers using some of the Linux operating systems but it is good you taste both flavors and then take your final decisions. It is important break all the schemas and determines objectively the most convenient solution for you.

Linux has a community of dedicated programmers and contributors who are persons like you and me and desire that this project grow and be part of your daily life. Microsoft only desires grow (economically) and are not interested in your personal life.
